Look Ahead to Father’s Day Resources - safnow.org

Just like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day will look a bit different this year with social distancing practices still in play. Though Father’s Day isn’t the typical flower-giving holiday, for customers who might not be able to visit their father figures or important men in their lives in person this year, it is the perfect time to send plants or flowers.

After all, men love to get flowers for the same reason they send them – to feel recognized and special. To help ensure that you don’t miss the opportunity for Father’s Day sales, SAF has put together some ideas to help you promote this holiday like never before.

  • Get creative. Host a contest, partner up with local restaurants, and sell beyond the vase are all tips SAF has put together to boost Father’s Day sales. See how to utilize these tips in your shop here.
  • Show that dads love flowers, too! Utilize SAF’s Facebook cover photos and web banners along with our social media post shareables to get graphics with customizable messaging that show that dads enjoy flowers just as much as mom.
  • Market to men. Does dad have a hobby? Make sure to let your customer know that you can offer creative suggestions for arrangements that highlight the recipient’s hobbies like golf balls, cars or sports teams. Research also shows that men prefer vivid colors such as yellow, orange and red as well as arrangements that have more linear or natural styles. Make sure to emphasize a variety of these options on your website for Father’s Day.

We would love to hear about your creative Father’s Day promotions. Email mwestbrook@safnow.org.
