The Society of American Florists’ annual feel-good initiative, Petal It Forward, is a chance for floral industry professionals to spread the power of flowers around the country in a year that could use some positivity. SAF has put together instructions to ensure a safe and successful PIF event in your community.
- Save the date and register your business! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 21, and register your business so that SAF can provide optimal support to your team.
- Coordinate with your team and industry partners. Craft a plan for what you want to pass out on your event day and how you plan to run the day, depending on your team’s workload and availability, product availability and other factors. Remind your employees (and any partners helping you out on the day) of area restrictions and norms as they relate to social distancing and facial masks.
- Scout your resources. SAF has tons of new and updated resources you can use this year, including sample press release media talking points, face mask templates, sandwich board template, flower card templates, flower event messages and social media messages with shareable graphics.
