3 Messages to Share during Stress Awareness Month - safnow.org

Throughout the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every part of our lives, including our mental health. Many customers may not realize that flowers are scientifically proven to provide a sense of calm and can play a significant role in reducing stress. Stress Awareness month begins April 1 and is the perfect time to educate your customers on the power of flowers.

Share these three powerful flower messages with your customers:

  • Flowers have an immediate impact on happiness. People who receive flowers overwhelmingly report an increase in their mood, which is likely because flowers provide the opportunity for nature contact, an established health-promoting environmental exposure.
  • Flowers have a long-term positive effect on moods. People who receive flowers report feeling less depressed, anxious, and agitated as well as demonstrating a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction.
  • Flowers in the home decrease stress and improve moods. Flowers make a space more welcoming. They can provide a breath of fresh air and help customers unwind after a hectic day.
