SAF members as well as their families have purchased a total of 49 new vehicles and enjoyed a $500 cash allowance for each one through a new SAF program.
It was a fall filled with savings for many Society of American Florists members: Through a new partnership with FCA US LLC (formerly Chrysler Group LLC), SAF members purchased 49 vehicles and saved a total of $147,000 as of the end of October.
FCA US LLC created the vehicle discount program especially for SAF members and their employees. The program allows a $500 cash allowance toward the purchase or lease of many of the most popular vehicles in the company’s Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram or Fiat 500L lineup.
But that $500 is really just the start of potential savings, said Brian Walrath, SAF’s membership manager.
In addition, “all SAF member employees are eligible for even further incentives like a commercial upfit or graphic allowance of up to $1,000 to brand their vehicle, or two years of no-extra-charge oil, lube and filter changes — eight total — or a Bosch toolkit,” Walrath said, adding that the partnership extends to family members living in the same residence as an SAF member employee; they are also eligible for the $500 cash allowance for vehicles in the program.
The 49 vehicles sold so far through the program represent $24,500 in cash allowances to members, along with an estimated $24,500 in additional benefits (e.g. upfit, oil changes and tool kits) and an estimated $98,000 (estimated $2,000 benefit on average per vehicle) in dealer incentives combined with the SAF discount.
