Make room for your top vendors on this year’s gift list. “You would be surprised how they remember that gesture during the year,” said Clay Atchison III, owner of McAdams Floral in Victoria, Texas. For locals, he sends a custom-made gourmet basket from the shop; for out-of-towners, he calls a local florist to design something special. “Each individual gift cost is really chump change, considering the amount of money that that company or rep can save you with ‘special consideration’ or the business a referral can get you,” he said.
