Teleflora Ad Honors Those Who Orchestrate Holiday Magic - safnow.org

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s also the most hectic time — especially for mothers responsible for decorating, shopping, wrapping, cooking, writing and addressing holiday cards, et al. Recognizing the work behind the whimsy, Teleflora gave a nod to the heroes who create the holiday magic for their families in a new ad campaign: “The Elf.”

“The Elf,” an extension of Teleflora’s overarching “Love Out Loud” platform, launched Monday, Dec. 2, on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter. The 30- and 15-second spots star an animated toy elf that appears to come to life while busy mom Karen tackles an overwhelming to-do list for the holidays. Amid the chaos, Karen feels her family’s love and gratitude when she receives a festive Teleflora bouquet from her mother-in-law.

“The tremendous effort that so many invest in creating the holiday splendor that we all enjoy and cherish — from the beautiful decorations to the decadent meals, lovely gifts, and much more — is the reason why this holiday season, we’re looking forward to helping consumers express their love out loud with a Teleflora bouquet,” said Danielle Mason, Teleflora’s vice president of consumer marketing.

The campaign combines CGI animation with live action, a first for Teleflora. It was developed by The Wonderful Company’s in-house creative team, Wonderful Agency, and led by executive creative director Mayumi Tatsuta.

“We see the serious effort that people put into making the holidays memorable,” said Tatsuta. “So, it was important for us to capture how the simple act of sending a Teleflora bouquet to your family and friends is a big way to say thank you.”

Teleflora launched its “Love Out Loud” campaign two years ago with an 8- by 50-foot flower wall on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. It consisted of 1,000 bouquets, which were free to passersby. They disappeared to reveal the message, “Love Out Loud,” which Teleflora described as “a rally cry to overshare and a call to arms to stop holding back, to take a risk, and go beyond the expected when sharing your love with others.”
