Are you among the hundreds of floral industry members in 50 states and four countries who participated in Petal It Forward? The good vibes generated during the event can have lasting impact with some additional outreach to the media and via social media.
- Reach out to your local newspaper, television news stations and radio stations to let them know about your successful Petal It Forward event. Be sure to share specific details, photos and stories from the event to grab their attention. Not sure how to contact media outlets? SAF has tips on contacting the media and a customizable press release.
- Search social media sites for pictures and posts of your event, and reshare them to your social media accounts. On Instagram, create a story highlight of the event so those posts and your photos have a home on your account until next year’s Petal It Forward. On Facebook, create a photo album for your business account. Don’t forget to include captions explaining the event, and make sure the photos can be shared.
